Magic Leap
Magic Leap's vision is something I've always admired since its inception. Magic Leap is on the verge of changing the way humans interact with the physical world through the use of spatial computing and mixed reality. The result is an immersive and "magical" experience that everyone should try, and one day, we all will. But for now, I have the pleasure of being on the team responsible for inventing this technology as a Senior Systems Engineer. Some of my responsibilities are shown below.

-
Owner of two critical path projects containing automated robotic and product handling solutions.
-
Responsible for the design and integration of robotic work cells used for End-to-End testing of ML1 and ML2.
-
Integrated KUKA robotic arms, pneumatics, lighting, and sensing systems and developed redundant safety systems for use in company-wide automated workcells.
-
Designed a robotic eye camera system that can mimic human eye motion for verification and validation testing.
-
Created a proof of concept peripheral lighting system to signal a user of an object's presence without using the ML1 displays.
-
Engineered a low cost automated calibration system for motion capture hardware to decrease time setup time for data collection.
-
Manage the Systems Test Lab and robotics lab by overseeing employee access, safety, equipment training, and product inventory.
-
Rapid prototyped mechanical and electrical systems using CAD, CNC, 3D Printing, laser cutting, soldering, crimping, wiring, Python Programming and PCB assembly techniques.
